The 201 Avenue project is a semi detached house consisting of four houses, eight units, and six stories. It is set on around one rai of land and is easily accessible to the city, as well as surrounded by many amenities such as supermarkets and restaurants. As a result, there are a lot of Home Offices in the neighborhood. The project’s owner saw the potential of the site and the viability of the idea and made it a reality.
To maximize the use of the property, the designer chose to put the road in the middle of the property, dividing the building into two sides, each with its own wall at every corner allowing for ventilation. The designer selected to open the view to the outside of the building in front of the project, which is adjacent to the public road, to promote the project’s appearance. Within the project, the other buildings are normally open to the view into the road.
The building’s function is separated into two parts: an office and a dwelling; each unit can park six vehicles to accommodate employees and visitors. The reception area on the first level is meant to welcome visitors to the business. The second level is the staff workspace, with a small balcony area for relaxation. The meeting room and executive room are located on the third level, which also offers an outside patio space. The fourth and upper level will be residential area prepared for living and dining room, while the fifth level will be the master bedroom with a walk-in closet that can be turned into a tiny bedroom if the buyer so desires. The sixth level is designated for a roof garden area with views of the sky and the city. There is a laundry room on this floor, which is also intended to prepare the sanitary work and structure load support to be able to add or modify the function, which may be added gym or bedroom more in the future.
The exterior of the building is created with clients in mind who want the building’s character to be tidy, cool, and highly masculine. The designer selected to use full height transparent glass in the workplace to showcase the interior environment and enhance the office’s modern appearance and used heat-resistant glass to lower the building’s energy consumption. The designer aimed to incorporate as much green space as possible into the layout to improve the working environment. An aluminum facade at the top of the building emphasizes the privacy of the houses by blocking sunshine and heat from the east and west. The facade enhances the quality of light and shadow that enters the building’s interior. Residents can open it to see a bigger view.
